OUR STORY
Sultana Distribution Services (SDS) was originally Sultana Crackers Inc, established in 1956, a baker and manufacturer of Spanish American ethnic products. Our then small family business was owned and run by Bernard Gold. In 1974 his son, Brian, joined the company and in an effort to increase revenue and profits to support the added payroll, Brian added candy product to sell to its route drivers. Candy sales continued to expand and within years overtook the bakery sales. In years to come the business focus evolved to the sale of candy products to other local distributors. This was the origin of what is now “redistribution”. Throughout the years and still today, SDS has stuck to its core business and ONLY redistributes confectionery products to the wholesale trade. Our motto has remained: “SDS does not sell to retailers. We do not compete with you our customer.” This company value has led us to where we are today: “The largest National full line confectionary redistributor.” We redistribute to all 50 states and unlike other supply choices…”we do not compete with you our customer!”
